Five Most Macho Cars?

The mid-80s Monte Carlo SS, especially in black, had a "macho" look to it. Not in the same league of performance as a GNX but far, far more common.

That's OK most of them are worth half of a Honda dealership for a reason.

I love the 365 Ferrari, that motor on its cams is WOW, can't be described.

A Ferrari 250GTO is worth several large Honda dealers...What did the last example go for somewhere near $40,000,000ish?

DID they have "Factory nitrous?" Rumors, some swear by it, and is probably why these cars can cost as much as new cars.....

No vehicle sold by any of the major mfgrs had nitrous, period... I doubt any of the specialty builders did either as it illegal to use on the street in many states...

I'm pretty sure ford built a focus that was nitrous ready, and carried no warranty. Iirc all you hooked up was the bottle.

Pretty sure ain't gonna cut it, lets see some proof...

I have removed some of the post due to the fact they contained unacceptable comments. We all enjoy the classic and old cars but we do not need to resort to childish comments. You do not have to be a man to enjoy driving various vehicles. I loved our 1974 Porsche, 68 Mustang, 59 Vette and our F-250 Power Strokes. Please remember the web site you are on and the board rules.

Maybe.... Mad Max used a supercharged Australian 351 Cleveland to run down ToeCutter's gang on KZ1000s

Probably most of them, especially in the handling segment. But that's not why you buy them.

I remember that show well. The BOSS 429, which many didn't think would win, cleaned house.

One of my favourite cars of all time.

Yup, you may recall me mentioning that my family had a 427 SOHC "Cammer" in a Thunderbird "back in the day". That's a car I wish my grandfather had held onto.

Were any of the big block "Cammers' ever installed by Shelby at the factory in the ACs (or was that powerplant out only LONG after he stopped production of big block Cobra ACs)?

(Would they even fit in that engine bay, with their BIG heads, is probably a better question.

)

I guess a 250cc shifter cart would have to be among the most brutal 4 wheel vehicles to drive. Not much suspension and breaking ribs from cornering?

Not that I know of. I think you are right and that fitment might have been an issue.

Absolutely! Outrageous that I used to drive these 160 mph with nothing but a helmet!

I should say a prayer or something...

My apologies Helen.

Stock to stock? I love Hemi Cudas but there's no stock example running times like that. Modified to modified there are Toyota Supras out there which would spank 8.70. But would I consider said Toyota macho? No, not really.
