I am going to change this either tonight or tomorrow. It’s right at or just over 10k, haven’t been in it in a few days. Will post total mileage, but I’m not going to bother with another sample at this point.
SuperCar is next up, we’ll see if fuel stays elevated. If it does, so I can do 10k without concern, I will probably use the No VII Euro 5w30.
I learned in my truck that it thickens in use; it was about 1.5cSt thicker at 15k than virgin. I’m sure that’s not linear, but if it was, that would be 1cSt @ 10k, which would keep even this sample in grade.
I’m open to suggestions if others have Ascents and would like to see even more mileage added on and then another sample pulled; if the fuel is a persistent issue there’s no likely way it would go 20k, but if I sample at 10 & 15k that would be good info. With a Stahlbus valve sampling is a literal 10-second function!
