First Oils to use Moly?

Was Schaeffer's one of the first companies to use Moly? If so, they must have been ahead of their time. It's not something required, but it is very good. Almost all oils are using Moly now.

NO, Arco Oil in the 1950's used non-soluble moly. They were known as the Black Oil!

John, noticed Arco later had a graphite enhanced oil, did this oil have moly also?

I meant soluble moly that we see in modern oils.

I remember "ARCO Graphite". Totally black right out of the can.
The local ARCO was a racer and tried to use it in his track cars.
He said the stuff leaked out like seive.

Someone in the ladder of lubricants said Amoco tried moly of the solid form back in the sixtys ,,,,BL
