We purchased a new 2013 legacy (manufactured 12-12) with 300 miles on the odometer. Most of those miles were added when the car was driven from a dealer 200 miles away. Since the oil is 10 months in service, should I change it now or wait until the 3750 mile change? That will be another 6 months with our usage. Thank you.

Run it for 1,500 miles and dump it. The engine was mostly broken it during the 100 miles of test drives as well as the 200 mile trip from the other dealership.

I'd personally dump the oil not because of age but more so to get the factory fill out.

Go the full 3,750 miles to get the full benifit of the assembly lubs that are in the oil to prevent any scuffing as the parts are being burnished. Ed

Thanks for the responses. I'll go the 6 months (3750 mi) before changing. Reading this site just made me want to ask.
