First Brands (Fram) bankruptcy

Closest O'Reilly is about 50 miles just over the MD line in Towson, perhaps on my next trip in should check out the MicroGard filters, seems like a better option over the Mobil 1. Thoughts?
I believe the new Mobil 1 filters are of much better quality now, but the microgard select are at least as good (likely better) and generally cheaper. Just be sure it’s the select as I’m not positive the standard microgard is PG made as it isn’t listed in the pic Zee posted (although it would make sense they would be).

ETA: if you don’t mind ordering online, you can order a few Carquest premiums from advance auto and use their discount code for an even better deal

Yes, the new Mobil 1 filters under Highline Warren are better quality vs the ones previously made by Mann+Hummel. I believe some or most of the low tier MircoGard filters (with the black can) are made by Mann+Hummel.

The Towson O'Reilly shows the MicroGard Select for $9.99, local Walmart sells the Mobil 1 at $11 and change, not a big difference but the MicroGard specs a bit better. Definitely worth it if I'm in the area.

15% off at AAP for the Carquest premium with a $35 minimum purchase (20% for $100) which would drop the CQP to $8.50 + tax if you want to save a bit more

Obviously massive changes and realignment are coming to the markets effected by the First Brands bankruptcy. Fram is apparently gone as well as Champion Labs. Major supply issues are already becoming evident. A lot of main supply systems to Major prime manufacturers like Ford and Honda are already severed. Does anyone have insider insights on what is happening behind the scenes to fill these major supply issues? There's a lot of speculation but few actual facts. I know a lot has to be happening behind the scenes, any real information on what is ongoing to plug massive gaps in the automotive parts supply industry?
Yea Wix's supply in Canada got wiped in like a week lol. I'm not corporate level but locally alot of stores (Canadian Tire) are looking for 3rd party vendors to fill demand in the garage. One of the contenders are the pure branded "Pronto" PG filters but we'll see. The Motomaster filters are supposedly switching to wix as a supplier when they catch up to demand. Definitely gonna be a rough month or two supply wise though that much has been clearly conveyed. Don't really want to spin Napa filters on cars being serviced by the rival. For personal jobs I will probably just continue to use Hengst and Carquest R stuff.
