Firestone Destination LE - anyone have these?

Are they the Destination LE, LE2 or LE3? They've always been a good tire and I have recommended them to others over the years and they've been happy with them. They have always done well in foul weather, ride & handle decently but I can't remember if they are a quiet tire.

I had the Destination LE2 on our 08 Liberty, IIRC at about 55K I replaced them. They started to get a little iffy in the rain, and I wasn't about to chance another winter with them. They were good tires, but I got a very good deal on Goodyear tires and went with them.

I had two sets of the original Destination LE and was quite happy with them. The LE3 is high in the list for my daughters 2016 Jeep Wrangler, that only sees pavement.

My Ridgeline came with Destination LE2's. I kept them rotated and they lasted for 60K of totally unremarkable, even-wearing driving. I had planned to replace them with LE3's but changed my mind at the last minute.

My daughter put le 2s on her enclave. Seem ok but also very stiff riding. I believe there’s probably way better options out there in that price range. Walmart has pro contacts for a good price right now that I’m considering to replace these awful cross climate 2s. I just can’t pull the plug on a tire I paid a grand for that still have tons of life left. Yet I can’t stand feeling like I’m riding in an f250 with tire hum. There’s no worse, or better feeling than new rubber.

The original LE was a great tire that looked like a standard blocky tread or even almost a mild AT. They wore well, tractioned well and were a solid value.

The LE2 was a sturdy highway tire, we had 2 sets. The balanced and handled very well. They were average in the rain new and were done in the rain at only half their tread wear. I towed with these on my truck and they carried the extra work with no drama. Aside from wet traction they were quality tires.

the LE3 is basically and LE2 with rain traction enhancements. It’s like they actually listened to their customers? If you are looking for a value tire and the LE3 is at the lowest price point offered, it’s probably a solid deal. IME purchasing mid-to-upper tier firestones, they have good value and are sturdy and well made. At worst, you’ll see some rain degradation halfway through, but I’d also expect it to hold longer than the LE2.

I had the factory LE2's on my Tacoma and aside from the wet/rain performance being terrible, I very much liked them for the quiet ride, decent towing, beautifully even wear, and good handling. Lasted around 110'000kms.

I was gonna get LE3's but at the last minute I switched my mind to LTX M/S2 for the alleged long tread life because I knew I would have big expenses coming up for the next few years so figured if the tread will last longer it would be beneficially than them wearing out when i'm in the middle of other expenses
