after downloading the 2.0 version of FF I haven't had any trouble like before. Now that I have a wiped out and clean machine everything works much faster.

FF 2.0 w/Faster Fox = no problems for me.
Adobe has released Acrobat Reader 8. I'm using it with FF 2.0 and IE7 with no problems.
