Signed the papers on the BMW on Oct 7th but picked it up on the 8th.. and finally got the KS tag today! Got to say this process ran into a issue with every variable along the way. Never had to wait this long for a plate for any vehicle prior.
This is the update to the other thread. It took 6 weeks for Baron to send us the paperwork, I blame them primarily on this. The week they got it to us was the week before Thanksgiving and we already had a trip booked the next. My wife tried to get on her next day off which was Friday the following week. She showed up before 0730 since it was supposed to open at that time. They never opened the building till after 8 and she had a doc appt so had to leave. I tried several times to get in line but their website never open! We did the drop off process just to see if it would work. Took them a week to look at it and I submitted the funds then. 3 weeks later never got anything so called them on the 12/23.. they didn't actually process it till I called! That was 3 weeks. Then the plate manufacturer was closed for almost 3 weeks with the holidays and snow days. USPS picked it up from Topeka on 1/8 and finally showed up today 4 days before the 2nd temp tag was supposed expire. I can walk there faster!
If you didn't read all of that don't blame you, short story is was a mess. The BMW is a pretty good ride at least even with the bad motor mount.
But there's a silver lining with all of this going back to the beginning. If the Focus wouldn't of broke down we wouldn't of got the BMW. If we didn't go through all of this with the BMW we never would of started looking at acreage. If we didn't start looking for grins we would of never found the 20 acres we're under contract and should be signing next month. Glad we're finally done with the BMW at least!
