Hengst, Mahle, Knecht, Bosch, Mann, Napa Gold, Wix, Purolator One, K&N. If the vehicle was in good shape & easy on oil, no reason why a Champ Labs E-Core filter couldn't go 10k miles easily.
Mann says their oil filters are good for 30K...I would think most decent quality filters are good for 2 OCI's at least if you don't mind having a little old oil in with the new.
Don't forget, oil filters are more efficient when they have some [censored] in them already...up until they have too much [censored] in them.
You won't find Hengst, Mahle, Knecht, or, Mann at Walmart, AAP, Oriely's, etc. I wouldn't let a couple of bad reports on the internet stop me from using an Ecore by Champ. They are about the only lower price filter with a thread end bypass like most of the more expensive filters have.

Some STP filters at Autozone for the 1.9 TDI engine are reboxed Hengst filters (Energetic line, made in Germany). Doesn't hurt to open boxes to check.
Honda recommends changing the oil filter every other oil change, and each one is 7500 miles between. Since they have no official recommendation on oil filter brands (other than suggesting Honda filters), they seem to imply that any filter that fits the car will last for 15,000 miles. I would use any filter (low-quality cheapies excepted) with confidence for 10k miles.
Mileage doesn't tell the whole story. If you looked at mileage without considering the engine or the driving cycle or service length or even oil vicosity then it seems any filter is suitable for up to 10K. But if you have a engine known to sludge, you are taking short trips and over a year to get 10K miles, then it's a different story. And you might need a long life filter like a Fram XG, M1, or Bosch distance plus.
If you have an OLM you'd assume that any filter can go 8-10K miles, but that is taking in account the particular vehicle and driving cycle. If you go on the filter council's site, they seem to sugggest that a typical filter gets loaded after 5K miles. Without taking these factors into account generally it'd be best to use a long life filter.
If you're doing 10k in a year or less, I'd bet you can run any filter that long.
I run the dreaded "E-Scrap" for a minimum of 7.5k anymore, and will be cutting them open to see what we can see. But I'd bet it will be okay..I get that milage in a measly 4 months.
Well one thing about taking a filter apart is, you can tell if it held together, but you can't really tell how loaded it is. The filter could be bypassing when oil's cold or at high RPM. I think most filters can go 10K miles in most conditions. But if you read the filter council website, they suggested filters load up by 5K miles. Maybe they are somewhat biased.
That is true, but I figured GM spec media in the delcos are designed for OLM use which is why I use only delcos in my OLM cars. But you are correct I have no way of knowing how loaded it is.
