sry i searched "filter minder" and nothing came up. then i tried it without the quotes and i just got every post with the word filter in it. i fail!

ok i found 2 on amazon but there's a screw in and a push in. i'm not sure which one i need?
I used a push in. it comes with a rubber grommet, so you drill a hole for the grommet and install that then push the minder into the grommet.
ordered the push in today off amazon. with the $30 i saved by signing up for the amazon credit card it'll be basically free. we'll see how it works
well i just got it in the mail today and installed it. took all of two minutes. then i started the car up and revved it up a little bit to test it. works like a charm.
my dad kept going on and on about how it's the dumbest thing ever and he just changes his once a year and doesn't worry about it anymore. so i showed him mine and asked him, "so dad do you think mine's dirty? should i change it now?" of course he said yes, but filter minder says differently. according to my new little friend i still have 25% of the filter life left. so this little $30 part will end up saving me a boatload of money in the future that i can use to replace the couple beers i drank today while installing it
also for anyone looking to install one of these bad boys in the future, the instructions call for you to drill a 11/16' hole but i used a 5/8' drill bit and i think that works a lot better. i just wet the end of the filter minder so that it would squeeze in and it gives it a nice snug fit. an 11/16' hole would probably work too but the snugger i can get it to fit in there the better

I think for most people, a Filter Minder should save a lot of money in premature or unnecessary air filter replacements.
In my case, I'll be switching soon to an AE air filter that can be cleaned and reused, so with this car at least I won't need one.
