i've always used supertech, purolator, mopar, etc.. on my ram. whatever seems decent priced at the time. trying to find a filter to find and stick to thats readily available at walmart or another box store such as menards or farm and fleet (local to the midwest)... don't want to pay the part stores outrageous prices.

i've been reading that purolator filters have been having tearing issues. i can get bosch premium for 5 bucks every day at a local store... what are your thoughts? not trying to cheap out but i change my oil at 3k so don't want to buy a 10 dollar filter every time either.

i use my truck to hunt and fish, alot of gravel driving. plus daily driver to work. feel alot more comfortable with 3k

Wifes truck gets whatever Farm and Fleet filter is cheap, usually AC-Delco PF-13 every 5k. 05 ram hemi.

Make sure your air path is sealed well and you use a good air filter. That's more important for dusty environment than the oil filter.
