Nice!! Were there different size dowels for the filter hole?I got this one off eBay about 17yrs ago from a motorcycle shop. Pretty sure it's a one-off, or someone made a batch of them to sell. It's cut open countless filters for me at this point and is still on the original pipe cutter blade.
Where is the Genuine Longacre made? Assuming there is a Genuine Longacre that's different from the knock-offs.
Unfortunately no, although I've never had a filter not fit the dowel. Large filters like a PH8A size won't fit this cutter given you can't back the dowel far away enough from the cutter.
Seems all of them like that design are basically the same, including the ones with a "Longacre" sticker in them. Who knows if any are actually made in the USA.

I just got one off of eBay that was a Longacre clone - it's in post #55. There are dozens of them on eBay. Got one from a US seller with free shipping so it wasn't shipped from China. Looks like Amazon has quite a few of the same knock-offs for not much more or about the same price as eBay ones.
And just to add to the confusion, I found one with a Longacre sticker for $19.99. eBay item number: 204197802597
It could also be a seller that's using a photo of a Longacre cutter, but when it arrives it doesn't have the sticker. One way to find out.
My guess it you are looking at a ripoff but really how much high tech science is in this cutter? My guess is it will work just fine read the reviews!
The only picture that has the sticker is the first one. In the other pics in the description the sticker is missing. Ya it's a "stock photo", misleading.

Here's a review on Amazon about a Longacre brand filter cutter. The Amazon ad by Longacre does not say where it it made.
That filter cutter is still shrouded in mystery. I keep forgetting to call Longacre early enough. I'm on the west coast and they're on east coast hours.
If it was made in the USA, I'd sure think Longacer would say so in their Amazon ad.
