Filter choices; what to use?

I'm just curious. I found out that most filters are actually made by Champion Labs and FRAM. I had no idea TBH. I read Bosch makes their own filters.
With that being said, what do you guys like to use for filters? With two companies making all the filters how different can they really be?
Ive been using WIX, Purolator, and AC Delco with pretty good results.

I'm really only aware of:
Champion Labs and Mann-Hummel making all the filters. The Bosch filters, that information was given to me a year or so ago. But, since I'm looking to change up quality, I can only wonder, how much quality can increase by brand if its all Champ and Mann-Hummel

But the point is, there are more manufacturers than just those two….

Champion Labs & Fram are owned by First Brands, so they’re basically the same company. Mann makes filters for a few labels-Wix & Purolator are two. Premium Guard makes filters with LOTS of different brand names, & there’s Baldwin, & Hengst, & Gonher, & Purflux, & a host of other manufacturers out there.

wasn't aware premium guard does white label.

At the end of the day, on my local shelves we only have acccess to:

FRAM
MOBILE 1
WIX
AC DELCO (harder to find)
Car Quest
Purolator (harder to find)

Sounds like the same companies to me. Amazon has a new brand "Doc's", lol, WTH is that?

OP -
You would be better served to read the bazillions of threads already on this forum before you ask any more questions.
There is no best filter.
There is no filter brand that has never had a failure or manufacturing defect.
There is a filter, maybe more than one, that will serve your needs; but know that what you want and what you need are likely two different things.

Avoid the MOBILE 1 filter.
literally the only comment with any substance. Everyone else was either rude or refused to read between the lines. I even have a follow up posts with the only filters my town stocks on shelves, and 0 people helped narrow down a better brand and why based on that.

I like super tech (Champ Labs), OE Nissan (Gonher or Mahle), ecogard, premium guard are my picks. it really comes down to price.

Not trying to be rude, just pointing out there’s a lot of stuff out there. It’s a shame the Carquest Premium/Blue ones got somewhat expensive-because lately they’re the ones to use-they have the fewest issues. If you have Auto Zone or O’Reilly around, they sell the Premium Guard XLs as STP XL & Microgard Extended Life-exact same filter as the CQ Blue. I still run the original (OG) wire-backed Fram Ultra & (AAP) Fram Titanium full synthetic filters-but they seem to be getting harder to find.

He was just pointing out your misspelled brand "mobile 1".
There are 500 discussions here about this already read some posts.
Or go buy some AAP clearance fram titaniums.

Not all stp xl are premium guard, local autozones here in central ohio are champ made when I was there a couple weeks ago looking. At least they looked to be champ made.
