I can appreciate this. I grew up in the Willamette Valley of Oregon and when I was new down here the summers were pretty hard. When I was around 20 or so my car AC broke and I didn't really have money to fix it, but in the end it was a matter of survival, so I scraped together the money for a new compressor and got it fixed (myself).I would be a dead lizard in the sun in Texas. I had to visit a gas regulator company in in San Marcos. Hottest day ever recorded there 116° or something yeah dead no. The asphalt felt like walking on a Temperpedic mattress. Oh hell no
You get more used to the heat, I just hit 36 years down here, but it never gets to the point where you actually "like" the summertime. Some years are better than others, as well. We've had years that it hit 100 over 90 days and other years where it didn't hit 100 at all, definitely prefer the latter.
