Penzoil Platinum 5W30 is my favorite with stellar UOA results, good cold weather performance and extensive approvals GF-4, SM, HTO-06, GM 4718M, GM 6094M, ACEA A5/B5, etc.

Plus I have experienced great results with all three.

Pennzoil Platinum and at Walmarts price IMO would make it the best passenger car motor oil on the market
Schaeffers line of oils can't be beat .
Most top of the line major oils are pretty good though.

makes sense, all the Amsoil users use the top tier oils for 7500 miles and tag the XL line of Amsoil low grade, with no experience or use of the product. GENIUS!

For those that brought up the XL line from Amsoil.....I have used it and liked the oil well enough but for the price I would choose a different group III oil. Has nothing to do with not having used the oil.
