^Good point, Cutter. I like that snap as well. Though, I am way too fond of cured meat products. I like them all and I try nearly every new hot dog variety that hits the shelves. I'm either curing myself, or I'm going to shorten my life span. I just really like the stuff!

Heck, I even eat those little cans of vienna sausages. How bad are THOSE?

I hope it still exists. I am going to miss that Kolbasa on beer bread and a cold Pilsner.

Muenster, TX already had Germanfest. There's always Fredricksburg in October.

^Yup. When my dad lived in Waco my kids would make me stop at the "Czech Stop" for kolaches. I don't care for them, but I picked up some great locally made German sausage. I used to ride in the Muenster Germanfest bike rallies in the 80's. You could always count on great food.

Ex-wife #2 raved over Carolina Bright Leaf dogs. They were ok, but not my fave.

If it's my money buying them, I'd buy Oscar Meyer. I do buy others from time to time just to mix things up.

I bought some Fairbury dogs just a week ago. Too narrow/thin. Left a lot of bun to fill up. Way overpowered by the mustard and khraut.

This is making me want some hotdogs and there isn't a single one in the house right now.

When you make Chili for 4-5 hours, Drop a hot dog in there and take it out in 15 mins for a nice snack.
