Maltodextrin is a man made sugar with a worse glycemic index than glucose and I don’t eat halogenated hydrocarbons.

Early in my I/T days, Jolt Cola came out and it was stocked in the company cafeteria. I had it a couple of times but it didn't seem like it did anything for me.

I never used to have anything with caffeine in it as a teenager (not even soda pop) so when I had a Jolt Cola for the very first time when I was 18 years old it definitely worked for me! I had taken a red eye flight from Calgary to Toronto and needed to go straight to class (in college) and that Jolt kept me awake that morning. At least for 3-4 hours anyway and then I felt tired. I tried it 3 or 4 more times back in the late 80s to early 90s and it worked every time. I believe it used to have something like 250-300 mg of caffeine in it

I have one cup of coffee with a splash of half n half, and monk fruit.
Later in the day I’ll sip a Bai for some extra caffeine. Usually, just one per day.
Bai has some antioxidants in it as well.

I AM a caffeine addict.

Espresso with cocoa powder, washed down with water, followed with green and black tea brewed together.

I used to have a job that required an early commute, so I skipped breakfast at home, but when I got to the job, I ducked into the nearest Starbucks and ordered "Six shots of espresso in a large cup." Yeah, they gave me a look.

Very nice! How long has it been out in Costco? I haven't been there in a minute. Kirkland French Roast Beans is my go to for making Cuban expresso at home. I'll have to try out that brand if it's available in MN.

As far as I know Costco has sold this coffee for years. Actually right now our local warehouse in Myrtle Beach has it on sale.

I purchased 5 cases on sale from Costco website about 2 months ago. More or less, sometimes it's on sale at the warehouse and other times online. I am sure you can buy it anyplace in the country on Costco.com and possibly your local warehouse.

I dont want to embellish but for my wife and I, we have found our ultimate coffee bean. At one time we used to buy "Gold Coffee" brand "Kanaloa Premium House Blend, Medium Roast, Whole Bean" as our favorite coffee for around the same price, but the price got stupid a couple years back and now is roughly $16 a pound and honestly?

We like the Cuban Organic dark roast better and far better price.
We set it to grind between the "fine" and "medium" setting on a Cuisinart grinder.

With all due respect as a Cuban American I completely disagree. Coffee time happens all throughout the day. From the minute you’re born you’re already drinking espresso's. Take coffee away from a Cuban and you’ll never see somebody more depressed and meaningless in life. It’s like taking away music from humanity.

Machinists are the same way, though they tend to be a little more angry about the lack of caffeine

My boss once stormed out of the shop to go buy a new coffee maker because the shop one broke. He came back, set it all up and glared at it as it made its first pot.

I have no vices except coffee/tea. Therefor I spare no expense at arguing with the moon that they are both quite healthy drinks.
