We just got our first big cold blast of the year here in CO, so like I do every year, I checked all our tires and in most instances they were 5 to 7 psi low compared to summer pressures.
Just an FYI - don't forget to check those tires as average ambient temps drop since were heading into fall.
I usually do the same thing in December when we transition into winter, as tires will again be a few pounds low.
1 psi drop for each 10 degree drop is the norm. Seems to be even more at our higher altitudes.
