Good Day,
Recently, I purchased Rockoil Carbon 5w30 oil (15 liters in total: two 5L cans and five 1L bottles) in Europe from an official distributor. After filling the oil from the first 5L canister into the engine, we proceeded with the 1L bottles but noticed a difference in color. We then opened the second 5L canister, and the oil inside was black and smelled like used oil.
Can anyone explain what could have happened with this oil? Of course, we drained this sludge immediately and refilled the engine with fresh oil. I strongly recommend that anyone ordering this oil checks to ensure the color of the oil is consistent before use.
I reported this issue on the official Rockoil website, explaining the situation. However, they told me to contact the seller directly, and the issue remains unresolved. I’ve attached photos to show the color of the oil compared to the original Motul X-Cess I had been using previously.
