Here is a screen shot of the oil requirement if the 2021 C-8. It’s 0w40 Dexos 2. The recommended oil filter is a PF 64. Also is a screen shot of the horsepower and torque specs. This thing is set up to rev like crazy. Peak torque is at over 5,000 rpm. Enjoy.

Factory fill is Mobil 1 ESP 0w40, but you can use any dexos2. Started with the C7, and then GM later back-spec'd dexos2 to all Corvettes

not new, carryover spec from the C7. here’s some cheap approved oil for your C8

It's Dexos2, but the manual says to only use 0w40, leads me to question if it might void the warranty for "going down a grade", since the pennzoil says it's 5w30 and the required oil is 40, although the difference between a Dexos2/ACEA C3/MB229.51 5w30 and Mobil 1 ESP 0w40 is virtually nil, pretty much just a little virgin KV100 viscosity but I doubt they'd be much different in viscosity after use and the HTHS should be pretty much equivalent if the ESP 0W40 is 3.53 and MB229.51 and C3 means the Pennzoil should be at least 3.5 even though they don't publish it.

Interesting top end for OHV. No manual is a bummer but after driving a pdk dual clutch is close - enough to buy I don't know. Can't afford anyway. I'm looking for a 1SS Camaro 6 speed after prices come back to earth.

Yes, it not having a manual available is a super-bummer.

I'm kinda in the same boat with my 2018 Corvette, as it recommends a dexos1 5w30, but I've been using a dexos2 5w30 all along. Hopefully I don't run into any kind of issue with the engine where this could lead to a problem.

Pennzoil Platinum Euro L is probably closer to 3.6.

Congrats. I cant even use the power of my Ecosport mini CUV around town here - and I have some cool roads to wail on.
Also this great 2.0L has the same torque density as your LT2 Vette engine: 75 lb-ft / litre.
Yes I am singing the praises of this 2 litre, the last great DOHC oversquare 4 banger - too bad its not in a Fiesta ST !
And I am NOT a FORD guy.

SO if this thing is only 75/litre how come it requires 40 grade Dexos 2 high HTHS oil? I assume a large dry sump with extensive oil cooling, also.

I'll guess GM expects some autocrossing and press flailing and they don't want the thing to expire = so BIG margin of safety
has been applied inconsideration of the spec.

Don't see why dexos2 would hurt anything.
