Factory fill synthetics?

My buddy had a Mitsubishi Evolution which came with Mobil 1 from the factory. I also understand that Corvettes do as well? Maybe Porsche?

Are there other cars that come from the factory with big nam synthetics?

My Cadillac came with Mobil 1 and the filler cap says 5w 30 Mobil 1.

And why and how did they get their hands in factory fills? Not that I'm against it, just curious.

Audi has Castrol so does BMW. Some say it on the filler caps, some have a sticker. 996/997 Porsche has Mobil 1, older Porsche have Shell. A Land Rover Freelander the other day specified 5w40 or 5/50 Shell syn. Mercedes has Mobil stickers as well. Bentley specs a 502 or better, so does newer Lambo afaik.

Im pretty sure AC-Delco synthetic is made my mobil, not quite mobil-1 but still synthetic. This is now used as FF on most GM vehicles 2011+ that require dexos-1 spec oil.

The oil Co's pay big money to get their name on the filler cap. It has more to do with business than actual performance of the oil in most vehicles.

Hyundai stated in a response to an email inquiry that their factory fill was Quaker State synthetic. For what it's worth, it's also the recommended brand of oil in their owner's manual.

The Ford Fiesta owners manual did suggest B.P. in a 5w-20 , not sure if synthetic .

I know my 2011 hyundai says quaker state in the owners manuel i dont think it says synthetic but im not sure.

I think every Honda and most Toyotas now come from the factory with 0W-20 and a demand that it be left in until the MM hits 15% (usually 6-8,000 miles). While Honda brands a semi, I would hope that this FF is full syn given what it is asked to do. It seems both Toy and Honda like the idea of their new engines being exposed to high levels of moly. Honda is applying it to the piston skirts so that it dissolves into the FF and the Toy oil (at least the SM version) was loaded with it.

Yes, this is true. As Hallmark said above, Hyundai confirmed their factory fill is QSUD and I plan to continue using it.

my hundai's say ouakerstate recommended and when i asked the dealer he said they come with quakerstate 5/20 syn as the factory fill.also has a little sticker on the air filter case that says quakerstate perfered.
