Forget breathing through it. How does he blow it? And could anyone actually watch him do it without throwing up?

Let me rephrase it a bit for you.... How would you feel if your daughter spend a half hour telling you what a wonderful guy she had met, and how for her it was love at first sight. So she invited him over for Sunday dinner. And you opened the door and HE was standing there? Now... BE HONEST.

One way to stop yourself from picking you nose.

Confirmational bias

Confirmation bias - Wikipedia
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confirmation_bias

Confirmation bias, also called confirmatory bias or myside bias, is the tendency to search for, interpret, favor, and recall information in a way that confirms one's preexisting beliefs or hypotheses. It is a type of cognitive bias and a systematic error of inductive reasoning.

You certainly displayed it in googling then offering up a 2010 article that you stumbled across and used it to "prove" your views. You certainly didn't do the study.

However, the article is intentionally disparaging, eg "more s than tiger woods"...

The author of the "studies" also has clear conformational bias in his "studies"...

Pastor (Dr) Jerry Koch, the person quoted in your article as having done said "scientific study" is clearly coming at his subject from a point of view very similar to yourself.

He's got a different baseline to point and yell at kids, not just an ageing curmudgeon, a deep seated psychological issue...e.g.

Interesting that you would follow him as your purveyor of moral dogma.

What about when he gets a cold? How does he sneeze..or blow his nose?

He has got his one and only career choice to look forward to each day...working for the circus.

Makes me think that person has made many bad life decisions.

My take is is it a warning symbol to you, and all normal people, to stay the heck away from the person. Its a warning saying I'm crazy. I'm thankful for the warning and will not interact, have issues, or anything with a person having face tatoos. My opinion, not sorry. Oh, I would never get any tattoo anywhere.

That is exactly my take as well. All these supposed "tolerant" people with their do gooder attitudes, would all be the first to run away from these guys. And all of their B.S. won't change that fact. They would be screaming the loudest to anyone that would listen if their daughters married one of these mental abortions.

I would suggest to you to read the title of this thread. It might surprise even you.... That is assuming you can see it.

My take is they're disgusting. But I think 95% of tattoos period are...anywhere.

My take is that it's an external expression of inner/former abuse, turmoil, trauma and damage. Another explanation already stated, is to display synchronicity with some gang/mass-movement/cult/sect/idealolgy...whatever. They obviously want to make an external, visual statement "to the world" and seek both recognition, some sort of reaction, and approval for it.

Regardless of whether they'll acknowledge it or not.

I'll limit my comments to "face" versions.

You seem to be projecting your shortcomings on others.

So now you admit it is a question after all. One you are incapable of answering because at first you didn't see it. Then when it is pointed out to you a second time, you don't like it, or the obvious answer. So instead you attempt to run interference with complete B.S. Aside from your total lack of comprehension, (or else bad vision), why did I already know that?

OK, now from remedial grammar, to remedial logic, to remedial reading comprehension...I should start charging for these lessons.

Your initial statement was:
Quote
Tattoos, especially facial tattoos, immediately provoke a negative reaction from most any person who sees them. And that reaction usually is, "Oh My God!".... Or thoughts to that effect. Now the only question that needs to be asked, is what type of personality wants, or feels the need to provoke that kind of reaction from nearly everyone who first lays eyes on them? Who out there, young or old, actually thinks disfigurement is "in"?

The statement (not question) your entire post rested on was,

That is, quite simply, unsupported speculation. It is a wild leap of what I hesitate to call logic, because it shows none. It is, again and still, not a question.

This question is based, again, on a false premise, and therefore meaningless.

And as usual, everything wears the garnish of ad hominem personal attacks.
