My new 2014 F150 3.5 ecoboost will soon be due for the first oil change. Canadian tire will have tomorrow the Pennzoil Platinum on sale, it is a good choice for this engine ?

The also have their brand name of synthetic once and awhile on sale, do you know this oil ?

thanks for your help guys

Pennzoil Platinum 5w30 is fine for your application. Beware of fuel dilution with the turbo engine.

The fuel dilution, is this caused by the turbo or the direct injection ?

Direct injection can contribute to fuel dilution.
Cold starts, extended idling and not getting engine to full operating temperature for 30 minutes or more also contribute to fuel dilution.

I have a 2012 with the EB engine. I have used Motorcraft full synthetic 5-30 from the first oil change on. I have the full service contract through Ford and I pay an additional $14 for the full synthetic. I do my oil changes every 5k. So far, I am very happy with this truck.
