F1 Lost Wages already a joke

Red Bull. Max. The engine. The car. The team. Darn awesome at what they do.

But.

Defenders and haters - I just say - Did Max REALLY have to do that on the first lap?

He did not. He is a therefor, an ass.
Max did exactly what he was paid to do. Until Charles grows some kahunas and makes contact with Max, Max will continue this behavioral. And there is no reason he shouldn’t. 5 second penalty didn’t work, Max still won. Lewis always used to push Nico around and Nico never hit back. This is not a morality judgement on my part, just stating the facts as I see them.

He’s paid to win

He’s not paid to break rules

And he’s an ass because he didn’t have to do that, it is unsportsmanlike, unsafe and not necessary

But I agree someone should take his ass out

They all pull that stuff. Russell got a 5 sec penalty for turning into Max

The big problem is there is no ramp space for the anticipated number of aircraft arriving. Raising fees is a way to weed out the riff raff since all of the local airports cannot accommodate all the aircraft that want to come here for the race.
That's hard to believe. Vegas is built to handle a lot of people.

We go to Vegas twice a year. We cancelled both trips this year and aren't going near it. I wonder how many others are doing the same. We are going on a winter cruise instead of our winter trip to Vegas.
I was in Vegas in August and traffic was a mess and everyone blamed F1. I'm going next week, hopefully, and very curious to see what's changed. Hoping to pick up some Vegas GP merch for cheap.

I do not know if they reached capacity due to the lower than anticipated turnout, only that they expected to be space limited. The fact mentioned above that fees were cut way back indicates they didn't get as many customers as they expected.

That and whomever planned it forgot that deserts can get cold at night

Reports are that casino employees tipped out record amounts this past weekend. I read Wynn floor dealers tipped out $2k/ea on Saturday night

Spoke with an Encore employee (not in the tipping pool). Huge action on the table games with very high limits. Regulars couldn't get a seat at their normal stakes. I would not be suprised if the take far surpasses any week in the past.

Regardless of how the locals were inconvenienced this is going to happen for the foreseeable future. Already contracted for 10 years, I know I won't be around when and if it ends.

I think they have an "option" to extend it for (10) years. It's got a firm (3) year deal for LV to decide if it's worth it.

Never watched F1 before but recorded this one. I enjoyed watching it and will probably tune into future races.
Glad you enjoyed it, that was a pretty decent race afterall. Which broadcast did you watch? I like the Skysports broadcast with Martin Brundle and David Croft. Just the right balance of excitement and a very experienced F1 driver and commentator who keeps things in perspective.
