It is not unusual to get these temps a few times a year. I been here since 2005 and seen plenty of sub 15 degree days here.. Granted I am from MD and am better prepared then most Texans but they'll be fine.

DFW had 2 snowpocalypses in the past 15 years. This time, ERCOT says power grid will be ok.

As long as heat is running so the pipes run in the attic don’t freeze, it’ll be ok.

Yep. I don't live in that area but I hope there isn't any ice accumulations.. Southerners don't know how to drive in ice or snow. And if the grid goes down......

As long as you don’t lose power for a few days like what happened with the ERCOT failures.

Heavy ice accumulation on trees and power lines will mean power outages in some areas. With overnight temperatures around 10° it will get uncomfortably cold inside homes without electricity.
Thankfully it will be a short duration cold spell unlike the week long winter storm of 2021.
