Extended Drain Oil for MB 229.5 applications

Mercedes Benz does not have problems with high saps oils used in their DI engines. They offer the best engine protection - in 229.5, engine protection takes precedence over exhaust treatment equipment protection.
No it doesn’t. MB229.5 doesn’t have LSPI test and all current engines use MB229.51/52 if FE oils are not satisfactory like MB229.71 and MB229.61.
Also, yes MB also has CBU issues.

This is OLOA 54720's instruction,It reveals the ability of the Mercedes MB229.71 standard to protect against LSPI,Opel OV0401547 too。
(OLOA 54720 Engine Oil Composite Additives Produced by Chevron Oronite)

I know that Opel's standard must have used GM's LSPI engine test procedures, ACEA C6 and A7/B7, API SN PLUS and SP/ILASCGF-6 for Ford LSPI engine test procedures。

But I'm not sure if Mercedes developed its own LSPI engine test, and I'm not sure if it used GM's program or Ford's program

MB as far as I understand from Lubrizol has its own LSPI test.

Not in their v6's. Maybe the turbo 4's but I haven't heard of any in those.

What I wonder, how can an ( 229.5) A3 oil such as the mobile 1 fs 0W40 with 3500ppm calcium pass the LSPi test?
