I have a new Exmark zero turn with their new 708cc motor ( 24.5 hp)
Filters are scarce and costly and I see no certs on the OEM oil filter.
I cross referenced the Exmark 120-4276 and came up with nothing but a post on here gave an old number that preceded that. That came up with several options but I did not need or want more capacity etc. but something just like OEM.
As you can see it's a perfect fit and went in with no issues.

And you can get a 6 pack shipped for just $5.66 each filter- Fram Ultras- a real bargain.

Exmark calls for a 5hr first oil and filter change. I didn't expect much drama at 4.5 hrs but the oil was coal black and thin as water. The filter looked great but I prefer the Ultra. I had several oil options but decided on MPT 5w-40 10K oil. I got it cheap but it's really great oil and ideal for this setup. HTH!

Those mower filters are super expensive....Good find!

Several years back I looked and looked for one for the Deere riding mower we had, but no luck. Obviously I didn't try hard enough!

On a side note the MPT oil is not very good in my honest opinion, I saw a used oil analysis with the 30k oil that was completely shot after a 15k run in a Nissan 2.0 with a TBN of only 0.4

I definitely recommend something better like Pennzoil, Mobil 1 or Amsoil.

The VOA is here and the used oil analysis is linked in the first post.

Thanks I'll read it.
I have had good luck with the 10K and it was cheap ( Amazon closeout) and on this mower its a quick drain system and I won't let it go much over 20 hrs. Takes just over 2qts.
I have all the others you listed and will go that route as the MPT is about gone.
Cheap does not mean good-lol
But I have been using the stash up and its not like 15K on a 100K 4 cylinder..
But I have a bunch of great oil- just dumping the 5w40 as I don't have cars to use it in

It wouldn't surprise me if the 30K oil was just 10K oil in a red bottle at double the price. That would be my guess!!!

Thanks!
When you can get ultras for under $6 shipped it's a no brainer .

It was really scientific. Like most here I have stockpiles of oil and am confused as to which I wanted to use. So I grabbed my tablet and calculator and went to my storage area and as I was doing the hard calculations I realized I had three quarts of the 5w40 MPT left over in a sea of 5w20, 5w30, and some fresh gallons of hdeo 10w30... So I decided to liquidate the minorities of the stash....

So that's how it went down....lol
Exmark was okay with it as well....

Next I will go with 10w30 FS...... Un!less I get a brain storm,hope not!
