EXCELLENT Particle Count with E-Core Supertech

I know this is a used oil analysis, and that the wear element numbers suck, but I am posting it here in the Oil Filter forum so you can see the excellent particle count, and frankly, I'm too lazy to type it in.

Background: this was a 1500 mile OCI, and for the last 800 miles, I used a MASSIVE LC20 dose. I also had a fuel system problem and several bad flooding incidents, so I got nervous about fuel contamination, and changed the oil. When I cut open the E-Core, there was a lot of grit and some BIG chunks of "carbonaceous deposits," yet look at that particle count!

I'm sold on the E-Core, at least the Supertech version.

Run the same, identical test with a Fram. You will likely see the same results at 1500 miles using Delo diesel oil & massive dose of LC-20.

1500 miles is a very short UOA.

I think 1500 miles is long enough to determine how well a filter removes particles of various sizes. It won't change with increased mileage, unless the filter goes into bypass, of course.

Is the "E Core" a new feature on the Super Tech filters?
I have recently purchased 2 Super Tech 3600 Filters and I don't see anything about "E Core" on the box... How can I tell if the filters I have are the E Core ?

I don't know if it would retain that low number ..but even if it just retained the ratio for the miles ..that would be a decent PC, IMO

That would put it not too far behind my 9k PureOne PC (if it can be figured that way

Boaz..look inside the filter down the center tube. If it's a metal tube, it's not E-core. It you see a plastic cage, it is E-core.

Only certain part numbers are E-core within the Super Tech ( and other private label Brands) line.
