I wish there was a better alternative.I'm more amazed that people still buy stuff on fleaBay & then are surprised that it's fake.

I wanted it sort of for nostalgia. A Casio would probably last longer.I had to look up what a Swatch was. I wouldn't bother with it in the first place. I'd rather go to Walmart and pick up a Casio.
Got on of those youngins you speak of. Not quite thirty but getting a little too closeLots of youngins on BITOG. That's a good thing though. A lot of youngins I know are still suckin on their parents n-pples at 30 yrs old.
Check out (I think it was Vice) video of a guy in the "Shoe District " in China. He makes according to him "Accurate reproductions " of really expensive shoes, but charges a tenth as much. He somehow got ahold of the brand new White Converse design and is charging $110 per pair. Converse is charging $1100 for the real ones. If these knock off companies just put a little more time and effort into a unique product. This is getting ridiculous. Not only do we have to worry about autoparts, I got a Swatch on ebay and its fake. They are making fakes of cheap plastic watches. They are putting so much effort into a fake its ridiculous. The box, all the papers and everything looked almost perfect. Even a fake invoice was included. The invoice was for the wrong model so I got to investigating, taking the back off was the final confirmation. What a crazy world we are in these days. Even the knock offs are being knocked off.

So true.there should be consequences for the seller
This is not a sure thing; Amazon fulfills for 3rd parties and commingles their stock into Amazon's own.Look at the feedback, contact the seller, assess the price (too good to be true?), and ensure you're buying from a US seller. With Amazon, look in the right margin and ensure the item is sold by/shipped from Amazon (in lieu of some offshore third party).
Especially when it’s oil filters. I know that occasionally you can find clearance ones that are $1 each but more often than not if it’s that cheap it’s going to be fakes.I'm more amazed that people still buy stuff on fleaBay & then are surprised that it's fake.
I had no idea people went through the trouble of counterfeiting spark plugs. Learned a hard lesson back in 2019 when I supposedly bought genuine Denso plugs from eBay for my Toyota. Had to replace them again about 18,000 miles later due to multiple misfire codes. This is why I use things like Autolite double platinum plugs purchased from a reputable source.
