Papa muphys is pretty good. You get what you pay for on the sale pizzas. Plus you take it home to bake and can add more whatever you want to it.

we switched our go to pizza place last year. it was a small 1 location local guy, that is middling at best, then a locally owned franchise of a new company opened up down the road.

Rapid Fired Pizza - Rapidfiredpizza.com

Started a couple years ago in Dayton, they currently have about 16 locations (mostly in OH), and are expanding at a good clip.

they only have 1 size, you can choose pan or thin crust, or Gluten Free Thin for $2extra.
the Pizzas are a Flat Price. ($7.50 locally, but varies from location to locations)

They've basically gone for the Subway/Chipotle Approach to Pizza. you wait in line, get to the counter, they ask what crust, and you walk down the line with them topping it however you want. then it cooks in 180 seconds.
decent selection of beers(craft and not, Bottles/Cans, nothing draft)

they're mainly our go to, because of the GF Crust. My Mom has a Gluten sensitivity, and My Brother is Celiac.

Why pay for extra anyway?? Get you own mushrooms, extra cheese, and so on at the store and add it later and problem solved, or make your own pizza,,,duh..............

I ordered spaghetti and meatballs from a local pizza joint. I got 4 tiny meatballs. Next time I asked for double meatballs.

They cut the 4 meatballs in 1/2 and put the 8 halves on on my spaghetti!

My Wife and I just made some French bread pizza here at home. Used some Hot Italian Sausage and Pepperoni. Covered it up in mozzarella and Contadina pizza sauce. Turned out pretty good for a quick meal.

When I get a pizza like that at the local pizza shop(s) I call the manager and tell them it's not satisfactory....same thing when there are 1 or 2 pepperoni wafers per slice. That doesn't cut it. The few times this has happened I've gotten a reduced price or a free one.

Yeah, now I'm waiting for someone to say that they tell the pizza joint to cut the pizza in 6 slices because they can't eat 8.

What REALLY [censored] me off is when they ration out the cheese. Isn't that what a pizza is all about,LOTS of cheese?

This is what I usually do. I'm one who likes LOADS of fresh veggies on my pizza (I'm talking a lot - far more than most people would).

I didn't have one in the freezer and wanted pizza last Sat, so I ordered from Fox's Pizza Den. Specified extra cheese and mushrooms - when I opened it up, it looked like they didn't put any extra on. I think, to them, "extra" means half a handful.

If I have time I will make the pizza at home . Baking the dough first and then adding toppings helps keep the crust crispy .

When I order toppings It is almost a given that they will be sparse . The exception is when eating at the place . They seem to double the amount compared to take out .

Most places around here are skimping on the toppings, but there's a place in Williamsport, PA I frequent when I'm there. A little pricey (3 topping large is like $22) but you get a decent amount of toppings, and plenty of sauce and cheese to go with it.

There are two places in my town, one makes thin and the other thick style. I prefer thin style myself, but there's been a rash of food poisoning going on at that place, so I'm avoiding it.

Place in Bayshore, Long Island makes the best pizza I've ever had. We go there fairly regularly. The pizza is so good I order it plain. It drives me nuts when my kids want sausage or pepperoni on it. Ruins it in my opinion.
We usually end up ordering one plain pie and one medium with a topping on it.

Why not just get half plain and the other half with whatever you want on it?
