There are three manufacturers recognized in the Automotive Battery industry. There are at least 15 brands supplied that these three manufacturers.
The three manufacturers are Delphi, Exide and Johnson Controls Industries.
Delphi has two primary brands they supply, ACDelco and EverStart (made for WalMart).
Exide manufactures Champion, Exide, Napa along with some models for EverStart.
Johnson Controls makes the most, including DieHard (Sears), Duralast (AutoZone), Interstate, Kirkland (Costco), Motorcraft (Ford) as well as some EverStart.
Other brands now seen in those lists are usually built by foreign car manufacturers for their own makes of cars.
