Ever find yourself acting as Al Bundy would?

I recently replaced the internals of one of our toilets. My hands were blackened by the water turning black from the deteriorating washers inside the tank, for the bolts which hold it to the bowl.

Having installed the entire kit, I was glad the surging sound was gone while filling, as were the phantom fills.

But, the flush wasn't as powerful anymore. So today, I adjusted the flapper to max, and the powerful flush is back. Al Bundy would approve!

btw I did go back and replace the tube that goes from the valve to the fill tube, as I saw a slight drip--all the rubber severely hardens. But I removed the device which can restrict it (if desired).

Admittedly, I do often wonder what it would be like to be a shoe salesman. In 2024, it'd be terrible I should think.

I don't try to live in my past, but I think anyone over 35 wonders what their lives would have been if they made a different turn along the way? different career? different city? Naturally the wife and children would stay the same, of course, without question, right.

I actually find myself acting more like Alf more than anything. Come here Kittie!

I scored four touchdowns in one game, against my nemisis, "Spare Tire", formally known as all-pro Bubba Smith of Beaumont TX.

Afterwards I lay on the ground and wailed in pain "Peg.....Peg!!! I hurt myself reeeeell baaaad!!!"

I think it might be a good thing as one gets more senior on age to spend a few hours writing down all the good and positive things they have done throughout their life. I think some might be surprised.

I found when the worse things happened to me, more often than not it ended up being a unexpected blessing down the road.
