I don't recall if I posted about my adventures in scooterland yet, but thought it would make for a good topic.
In late 2024 I purchased a 2007 AN400 (K7) Burgman for cheap. Tupperware was in great shape but maintenance items were in need to proactively maintain a 20 year old scooter. So I made a plan, and while I'll never be "done", I think I'm at the point I can say the transformation I was working towards has been achieved.
Here's a list of upgrades and maintenance performed on the scooter over the last 1.5 years, with the biggest transformation being with the CVT rebuild I completed, which included a complete Malossi back end with a 5 shoe clutch, yellow clutch spring, clutch bell, CVT belt and Dr Pulley 16 gram sliders. The scoot is always in power band, always the perfect progressive friction engagement, purrs like a kitten on the highway around 5700rpms. And the front end rebuild, with all parts replaced inside the forks, has planted the front end.
Add the Givi windscreen, Sit & Fly seat cover, barbacks and exposed handlebars for accessory mounting, and this scoot is a perfect commuter, or beach transport with sandals on
There's 62L under the seat (massive trunk) and 44L with the Givi Alaska top box for a total of 106L of storage.
