You will get more useful information from labs that aren't Blackstone and show things like virgin oxidation, which is a somewhat useful parameter in that it shows potential ester content in the base oil blend, as well as giving you a baseline for your UOA.
There are also chemistries that do not show up in VOA/UAO's, so beyond getting an idea as to what levels of metallics are present, you won't get much in the way of insight.
