Not sure if this is the correct thread to ask on but ill give it a whirl. I have a 19 Silverado 1500LD that I am in the process of mounting a small radio console in for a couple two way radios. If I were to throw some self tapping screws into transmission hump to secure the console is there much danger of hitting anything or is there a couple inches between the transmission and other items down there?

Check under before screwing anything in. I once worked in a Police garage with a guy that was installing a Police radio in a brand new Caprice. Drilled right into the transmission lol. Later on the same guy got both hands stuck in the front coil springs of another Caprice.
They didn't fire him until he started missing work without calling in.
