Engineering Explained not happy with new Lucid Air

Yeah, he got a bad one. I doubt Lucid, or any car company, would treat you or me this well.
The Lucids are very expensive yet have had more than their share of issues, specifically software.

Agree, seems like a complete train wreck.
I have limits; the Lucid, among other cars, just costs too much. I don't care how good, or whatever, it is. The Taycan down the street is gorgeous, the Bi-Turbo MBZ across the street is too.

I would rather put a needy kid through college. But that's just me.

Well, what did anyone expect from another YouTuber? He is ode the Tesla hype train, then the hate train and then he thought he could jump on to the Lucid hype train as well. Looks like that jump didn’t go as planned.
I find his channel to be pretty solid for the most part. Did you actually watch the video, or are you just going off half cocked?

Lucids shortcomings are pretty well known, his journey was redundant, but true to his own form well document .

There were no surprises in his journey of discovery.

I didn’t watch this vid, but I did watch his prior videos, including the one when he said he sold his Tesla because his wife was let go by the doge effort.

I get the criticism I don't think the description is on point though.

This is more "whipped" behavior.

he made a decision based on emotion in support of his wife, and his choice bit him.

Had his wife worked in a private sector and was let go, he would probably not even mention it, never mind getting rid of the products that company made and make a video about it.

But since it was a government job, he somehow felt his wife was entitled to her job I guess? That’s not supporting your wife, that enforcing her delusions.

He is an incredibly bright guy, and more importantly, an enthusiast who loves both gas and ev's for what they are. He loves the tech, for the tech. Pure gas, NA, Turbos, Hybrids, bikes, if it's techy, a feat of modern engineering, or amazing in some way then he's into it. His reason for buying and selling the car have nothing to do with hype trains or politics.

Don't get me wrong, that one came across as a little odd and not on brand for him. Maybe I'd feel different about the brand if my wife had lost her job through that too, but without getting into the thing that should not be discussed here, I don't agree with everything Elon says or does, but to me the car and the technology speaks for itself. If something happened either of my Teslas that totaled them I'd buy another Tesla immediately and not even consider other options.

I'd say I probably like Tesla a lot more than Jason Fenske and this point. I do like his channel and while not a regular viewer, I do somewhat keep up with what is going on.
