Engine vibration after rebuild

Hi everyone. 09 Pontiac vibe/2.4l 2az fe engine. I mentioned this in an earlier post, but I wanted to be more concise. My engine vibrates from 700 rpm to about 1100 rpm under any condition - cold/hot, in gear/in park/while driving. It is perfectly smooth above and below that rpm range. I can best describe the vibration as fast, even, and steady. I can see the engine vibrating, and while it's not moving very much at all, the vibration is intense and resonates throughout the car causing a loud, low-pitched hum. The engine used to vibrate all the time due to a bad motor mount and the new mount seemed to correct the problem, but I've recently noticed this oddly specific vibration. It may or may not be related to the new mount, I have no clue. Any ideas? Here's a picture of the old mount if it helps:

I wonder if the balance shafts were not synchronized properly at rebuild?

Did you get a quality mount? I’ve seen the cheaper ones fail in very short times.

It's possible. Would you have to take the engine apart to tell?

It was Toyota OEM. Maybe installed improperly?

Possible. Did you replace just one? Sometimes when one is bad it will put stress on the others and make them fail a short time later afterwards too.

Try clocking the torque converter 180 degrees. Have you tried it with all accessory belts off?

Check the mounts but as the poster said this would be a serious contender for this issue.

Would there be any other symptoms if the balance shaft timing was off? Would it only cause vibrations in such a narrow rpm band? The guy who rebuilt my engine mentioned not knowing how to set up the timing and he would have to get someone else to do it.

Also, I just read another symptom is a "buzzing" sound and my car makes kind of a nasally eeeeeh sound when accelerating that sounds similar to power steering whine.

Last time we had someone that had a buzzing while driving and idling it was the ABS Module had went bad. I would check the balance shaft timing first though.

How do I check the balance shaft timing?

Make sure it’s lined up with the marks. It should rotate to the correct position I believe. Make sure it’s not bent as well.

Just take the valve cover off and look?

Yeah you might be able to see it from the valve cover but not sure. Might need to pull the timing cover off.

Geez, it looks like this is in the bottom of the engine?

Who did the rebuild? I would have them check it out. If its a Jasper or other big reman outfit it is almost a certainty the thing was hosed right out of the crate.
