A ton of info here, including the article you mentioned. Valvoline Restore and Protect. IMO the product is gaining a lot of traction here, and might be another very good product for someone looking to clean up an engine.

I still haven't seen anything in Valvolines R&P that's different from any other oil. At least nothing in a VOA.
Yup. Never answers the question of whats in it exactly.
Understand that it works, just wondering whats in it.
Why would valvoline tell their competition?
The components that are proven to clean are not really in question. If the customer is willing to pay for the final product, and buy lots of it, is all companies care about.
