Engine oil recommendation?

I have never ran it since I started moding it. However I did run the one I owned before it with nothing other than a MBC and removed CAT. I ran a best of 14.9 on it. It was the same model yr etc. But it was two tone white/black. And had nearly twice as many miles on it. I am about to rebuild the transmission in it and throw in a ACT 2600 and XACT 12lb flywheel. After that and some tuneing on the DSMLink, I will see what it runs in the 1/4. I am expecting (once i get the HKS 264 cams and water injection on it) to hit around 380whp and run flat 12's to high 11's.

Note I could easily run that time without near as many mods. IF and i mean IF I went with a larger turbo. However I dont like big turbo's. So I went with a Evo III 16g. Spools around 2800rpm

Yea, all the pipe's are actualy going to get changed. I am going to re-route it a shorter less intrusive path that hopefully will allow me to re-install the factory foglights.

Become a PC? This offer compales me to go with this stuff, I have seen it used in tubo jet engines, which go though a crazy amount of heat. And the ams oil lasted like 7x longer t?han Mobile 1's stuff.

I don't think You have seen Amsoil used in jet engines.

I would not hesitate using Redline oil on the street "Redline street oil" Show me some good used oil analysis with Royal purple. I wouldn't use Royal purple if you gave it to me.

Hehe, me too, I've still got a few quarts left of 10w30 Royal Purple that was given to me a few years ago and I have no idea what to do with it, as I'll never run it in any of my cars!

As I mentioned in PM (but will repeat here for others), I did not like the oil analysis results I got with RP 5w30 in my wife's Honda. It thinned out very badly and very quickly and engine wear was a lot higher. Simply put, this oil did not perform very well at all.

Let me guess, you came across Billy Bob's Amsoil website and he claims Amsoil is used in Air Force 1?

The suggestions above are all fine. From Amsoil I like the 5w30 and 10w30 oils.

No.

A german man that has seriously perfected pulse jet engine technolagy also built a "turbo jet" engine which is basicaly an engine made from a large turbo. (it's not that hard to do) The turbo jets generaly do not make alot of usable thrust (typicly no more than 50lb) anyway point being the oil used to lube the turbo is subjected to ALOT more heat than in a normal internal combustion engine. And where as the maker claimed the Mobil 1 would smell burnt after so many hr's he claimed the Amsoil didn't smell burnt for a much longer time.


So if thats all, you can sit back down now.
