Eneos Extended Drain Intervals?

Been using Red Line motor oil for quite some time but since it's now about $13 a quart I moved to Eneos at $9 per quart.
Red Line says that its motor oil can go 7500 miles under severe conditions i.e, mostly stop and go...city driving, and up to 15k miles mostly freeway.
Eneos just gives drain intervals at 3k miles....nothing about extended drain intervals.
Anyone have experience draining Eneos after high mileage use? Can Eneos go the distance?
Ya think that Eneos can successfully match Red Line's 7500-15k mile drain interval guidelines?

Based only on what I've read on this site, no I don't think Eneos is a long drain oil.

FWIW, I just bought 6 quarts of RL 5w30 for $7.98 each from my local Carqwest store, so there are bargains if you look a bit.

Just because an oil says it can that long doesn't mean squat. In order for an oil to go the distance the engine needs to be in top order. You need a UOA to give you a general idea on how the engine is wearing.

Well, 3k mile drain intervals makes sense for straight dino oil but a primo synthetic like Eneos should go for at least 6k miles, no?
Maybe even 7500-10k miles?
My Sube's engine is in fine shape.Power, fuel economy are OK.

It's a Japanese petroleum company, therefore its products must be far better and worth much higher prices. At least that's how the mantra goes...

No one can answer that question for you. Personally I wouldn't run any oil for 10k in a turbo Subaru.

The best way to answer your question is to run the oil 5k and sample via UOA to see if the oil can go longer and repeat every 2-3k.

It looks to be a solid product, but I haven't seen anything showing it's any more capable than readily available stuff. Basically, it amounts to another boutique oil in the American market simply due to the scarcity.

^ This. Eneos is not really much different or better than most other OTS oils.

If you are interested in an extended interval, anything like Castrol Syntec, Pennzoil Platinum, or Mobil 1 can easily take 5000.

I'm not claiming that there's something especially magical in Eneos but I think that it's a super high quality oil at a fairly decent price, every bit as competent as, say, Motul or Red Line which normally sell for $12-$13 per quart.
Incidentally, Eneos is not scarce....it's readily available from on-line vendors.
A primo synthetic oil should certainly be good for 5-6k miles of use, which is about as long as I'd feel comfortable running Any synthetic.
Anyway, my Sube is not turboed and I normally don't drive with a heavy foot on the gas pedal and besides extended drain intervals I'm going for maximum engine protection against wear and tear.
Yeah, doing an oil analysis at 5k miles sounds like the way to go.

Well, when ya get right down to it, NO motor oil is really worth $9 a quart....they're all overpriced.
Hey, if ya could point me to some Motul 300V 5w40 for $6 a qt. I'd go for it.

My point about the price is that it basically performs just like any other off-the-shelf syn oil. So why pay 50% more for the same thing?
