Hahahahahahaha..now you have it. If it gets to where you need cold coins etc. There are two choices..shooting yourself or someon else that has food. I honestly can't say what I would jdo to feed my family

But on a hopefully less severe level. I think you need to look at your location..make a judgment what could reasonably happen and take steps (heat, foodstuffs, protection, etc) to survive a reasonabe period of time.

Me??I'll sit and wait for the government to take care of me like the NO folks

My wife gave my sisters a battery crank radio with a flashlight. Now I know they'll have at least that.

Is it this one??

I think just as important as cash is other supplies, mainly food and water. If you have to evacuate, get a 72 hr kit ready for each family member. MRE's work great for this. Not the best tasting, but they work.

MRES taste real good when hungry and tired.

I'm not so much worried about all the survival gear. I'm thinking more along the lines of using the $1000 to get the heck out of the area. And when ATM's are down and such you can still buy gas and food to get you where you need to go.

If it's a widespead disaster, then it will become survival of the fittest. Which at that time, I hope I have enough rounds.
