Thanks Rob. These are bushings so oiling is the only long term answer .
On doing some follow up "turbine oil" has a long history and good reviews,
Royal Purple has followers and a good argument .
3 in one motor oil has a lot of users
20 wt. Synthetic compressor oil seems to fit the bill well also
Basic 20 or 30 weight non-detergent oil gets the nod from companies making motors
All said and done I think it will be basic 30 wt. non- detergent oil and I may make that synthetic if I feel flush when I get to the store.
Thanks to all for suggestions

If you got a Grainger/Fastenal or Ace near you, get Zoom Spout turbine oil. All the HVAC guys out here keep this stuff on their trucks. I did use Tri-Flow on a reman Cardone blower motor and it seems to work OK.

I used 3i in 1 SAE20 electric motor oil on a Ruud electric furnace blower for twenty years and never had a problem. Current owner says the thing is still going with a every two year oiling. PITA as motor has to be removed from housing in order to oil inside bushing. My current home has a Trane electric furnace(Nebraska has public power only) and the motor has sealed anti-friction bearings.

Well we could start a long discussion about public power as Manitoba has only a provincially owned electric and gas system and you really don' t want to know how little we pay for electricity here (hydro electric power here).
But we also pay way to much for other things.
I looked for " Zoom Spout turbine oil" on amazon and found many sellers
- one American site was $8.95 plus $3.95 shipping
- one Canadian site was $ 84.95 plus $12.95 shipping and only 3 left
Same 2oz. Plastic bottle, go figure. 30 wt. non-detergent starting to look a lot beter.

Your applications are well and good with a heavier grade non-detergent , keeping in mind its pour point temperature for your ambients requirements.
