Egg Yolks Reduce Cholesterol

Do you have a solid cite for that?

My reading tells me it varies from person to person, what else is consumed, metabolic state, etc

Bottom line the human body makes and REQUIRES cholesterol and cholesterol does not CAUSE heart attacks.
The human body makes its own cholesterol. It’s pretty much documented 20% comes from food and much the rest from genetics.
I don’t think any American is cholesterol deficient from food

I’ll stay away from any discussion of the heart.
If you have arterial disease, I would certainly watch my diet, both sugar intake, and cholesterol/pat Johnson of the foods we eat.
There was still so much controversy I would just ask why not be on the safe side and do what you can?

I ate four eggs yesterday. Really though I eat eggs every couple weeks.
Same here this AM, fried onions 1st, empty pan, fried cherry tomatoes next, empty pan, 4 eggs and feta w/winter savory mixed in towards the end. All on a base of avocado oil.

Still refining my recipe, maybe I should add some heavy cream to make it extra tasty.

I don't do it every day but when I need protein for a long day of work, I think it is sufficient.

Here's a NYTimes article for those that think that lowering LDL prevents heart disease:

One-and-Done Heart Disease Prevention? Scientists Show It May Be Possible.
I think I posted in another thread so will keep it short. It's the media thing I might have a problem with.
I accept LDL might not cause heart disease. TONS of things do, ex smoking, genetics etc.
What I want to see from the headlines is multiple confirmed sources flat out stating that LDL does not contribute to blockages in your veins and arteries. To the best of my knowledge no one is denying that?

Meaning, once you have heart disease with plaque all over the place and high Lipo a are you really better off to have LDL levels of 150 mg/dl than 20?
Im going with my cardiologist on this, shooting for 20, not sure I can get their without bumping up my statin from 5 to 10mg. Im around 40 or 50 now.

I think heart disease has so many root causes, actually that is fact by all medical establishments. I do agree to blame the initial cause of high LDL is wrong. Heart disease is inflammation in everything they all agree on. Ex again, smoking, drinking, refined foods, refined carbs. My question to those writing those columns and doing those trials/tests is what happens after the heart disease is known?
Which group lives the longest, high LDL or low, another outlier is Lipo a

Anyway, all this research will benefit younger generations for sure. Yeah, I would have my genes altered (scary stuff*LOL*) but I can do it without it. I hope. I will pay my own lipid panel in the coming months to see how this new diet is doing. I can wait until fall. Might be scary since I cut out a MASSIVE amount of refined carbs. I have no clue.
