Egg Yolks Reduce Cholesterol

20% of ingested cholesterol enters the bloodstream, If you go to the extreme and ingest more than usual your body compensates and makes less.
Do you have a solid cite for that?

My reading tells me it varies from person to person, what else is consumed, metabolic state, etc

Bottom line the human body makes and REQUIRES cholesterol and cholesterol does not CAUSE heart attacks.

From the studies I have read, I do not believe that is true.
I believe it is. Not poking the bear simply disagreeing.
Genetic and metabolic health play a huge role.
Hypo-responders, Hyper-responders, genetic outliers.
ApoB and LDL are always where one should be looking.

Phooey. Yolks don't increase blood cholesterol, your liver makes it.
Correct. It seems cholestrerol blood levels are more of our genes than diet. My doctor friend tells of the story of his 37-year old Indian (country=India) male patient who was complaining of varied symptoms (tiredness, headaches, can't concentrate, etc). So he ran a range of blood chemistries on him. Results come in, he looks 'em over, tells the patient "you have very high cholesterol and blood sugar levels." Patient replies, "Doctor, how can that be, I'm a strict vegetarian. I don't even eat eggs or drink milk."

And then there was my paternal grandfather....Chewed tobacco for decades, drank hard liquor, NEVER saw a doctor until he was in his late 80's, never had a vaccine of any type, cussed like there was no tomorrow and ate eggs! Man never got ill until his late 80's and died when he was 94. It has a lot to do with genetics, folks!

My favorite breakfast spot is a smokehouse - so you get 4 strips of bacon with two eggs. Therefore that is the healthiest E:B ratio based on my 7 am research 🧐

This is correct. Certainly solid advice for people with heart disease. It is true current thinking is the majority of cholesterol is manufactured by the liver however, the liver may cut it back to compensate for the ingested.
I certainly would not go bonkers, intentionally eating by cholesterol food because whatever aces you can pull out of your pocket may help in the overall picture.

“Cholesterol absorption inhibitors
The small intestine absorbs the cholesterol from food and releases it into the bloodstream. The medicine ezetimibe (Zetia) helps lower the amount of cholesterol absorbed from food. Your healthcare professional may prescribe ezetimibe with a statin.”

It’s simple, I say eat more wild caught fish !
And I do believe lean meat is another great option for me, so far it’s working and I have a long line of family history against me.
Everyone is different
