Efficiency Info on the New Mobil 1 Filter

Didn’t you or someone else say that the PG and its rebrands are 99% @ 20 microns and 99.5% @ 25 microns?

I think someone called for clarification?
I called PG because of this confusion. Official ISO numbers for PG made 10K filters are:

98.7%@15 microns
99.5%@20 microns
99.9%@25 microns

^^^ Think you posted in the wrong thread ... no discussions of the gap here, but was in another thread.

Well, the key point to remember is is they are not a filter maker. They are simply a filter reseller.
To add, Mobil defines the specifications their filters shall meet. That was mentioned by Highline Warren when I correspond with them. Same goes for any company that hires out a filter to be made with their brand on the can. Mobil decided to stay with 99% @ 30u for the new Mobil filter supplied through Highline Warren.

Mobil 1 also specified a black base gasket, probably nitrile. it would be nice if they said they are tested here in the USA to M1 specs. Otherwise why buy them?

I can live with 97% X 20u if knew all oil passed the media …
Shame that we don’t always know that …
No leaf spring in the new M1 filters, so highly doubt if there's any amount of leakage past the media. Some models may have a leaf spring, but the bypass valve is still built into the end cap. Same goes with all the PGI type constructed filters without a leaf spring and the bypass valve is always built into the end cap.

I didn’t know Pennzoil was still selling oil filters. Looked them up, they do, must be to service centers mainly.
Seems to me numbers are allover the place. Why not put the Pennz HE in Walmart if they do so well?
