Maybe an adapter to a remote mount FL1a size would be even better. Could triple much needed media area and add some capacity. But the hydraulic hoses are cumbersome. Ran that setup on our sbc 327 Vega GT drag car back in the late 70's

I say this as I have had Thailand sourced filters in the past that didn't flow adequately to lube my Toyotas and Suzuki. And that was a proven fact not some fantasy.
Where those the ones with the ADBV that blocked flow into the filter?

NO. I never determined the cause through an FMEA. I cut the filter apart and the mechanical construction looked O.K. I also did not calculate the opening threshold of the bypass poppet.
My only guess was too much "rosin" on the filter media (paper/glass). This was just a Toyota Japan "Lexus style" factory Denso vs. a flaky Toyota Thailand Denso purchased at the Toyota parts counter. It had a laser holograph foil label on the box so I assume it was genuine. This is ca. 2006.

I would like to see a PG or EcoG make a 20k mile filter as I have some need for one used in a remote area.. all of this because my old Ultras are about gone...
Not looking for cheap just nice and durable..
