I have a 2020 Hyundai Sante Fe 2.4. with 32000 miles. I'm currently using a ecogard oil filter that seems to be well built. Has anyone had any issues with the brand of filter? Should I immediately go back to OEM? OCI is currently 5000mi. Thanks and happy holidays.

They've been integrated with Premium Guard so there's some overlap. Great product but recommend their extended filter if running extended drains w/Amsoil.

I’ve used ecogard in the past- haven’t dissected them but they ran fine from what I could tell. Build quality looks similar to premium guard based off a search here. A reputable shop around me uses their oil/air filters. They also use pentius which are decent.

I've cut open several PG and Ecogard filters including the aforementioned x10479 and every single one had nice even pleat spacing and looked well made. IDK the efficiency but I'd use them before a Fram Orange can based on what I see here on this forum.

30 weight wouldn't be a bad option. I would think that's what they require. I run 30 weight in my daughter's 12 Kia Optima, same engine. These engines are known for some shearing and fuel dilution. I would also recommend Amsoil Extended Life oil instead of the OE

Running same filter on my sons Santa Fe with Valvoline Restore and Protect. Basic PG filter. Nothing wrong with it. Changing his oil next weekend, I'll C&P.
