I've had a hard time fully cleaning my rubber floor mats, I got an idea and tried meguairs hot rims wheel cleaner on my mats, I let it soak only about 20 seconds then sprayed it off with a hose and they look great. Here's pics of after and the cleaner I used

I have gray Weathertech mats in the Accord, and the ONLY thing that cleans them is Purple Power.
Look like new when done.

^ Huh? I buy Dawn/Ajax/Polmolive/whatever on sale, probably takes about 1-2 cents worth. Wait, you didn't think I meant I apply it straight? "Detergent solution" means it is in hot water.

Purple Power is $4.87/gal at WM. Dawn is about double that for a 90oz jug at Costco.

Purple Power works a lot better for this application, anyway.

Those look great. If mine are lucky they get hosed off. If not lucky, they get shaken off and stuffed back in. Gotta up my game.

You still aren't realizing what I'm stating. I only need about 2 drops of dishwashing detergent in only enough hot water to wet the entire surface and it works 100% fine, there's no "lot better" than just getting it completely clean which it does. If it didn't get it clean, I wouldn't be using it.

So you're washing these things in your bathtub?

In all honesty, unless you wash them very infrequently, the leftover car wash solution from a car wash session is more than adequate for cleaning floor mats.
