E3.10 Spark Plugs

Installed the E3.10 and have had the opportunity to use the snowblower 3 times(over 60 minutes each time) in the last two weeks.

The snowblower idles and runs smoother and does not hesitate at all when blowing heavy snow. So far very impressed with this plug because this 3 year old snowblower did not run this well when new. I'll pull and check the plug after a few more uses. Curious if it is going to be carboned up like the original Champion was...

Been there. Done that. Learned my lesson experimenting with gimmick spark plugs.

Not as easily sucked in as I was in my youth. That's the benefit of getting older. If you're gifted with at least half a brain, you should pick something up along the way.

However, I'm certain that there is a portion of the population who don't. They can have my share of the E3s. I'll pass.

Trust me, I am 52 and not tricked very easily. LOL... BUT these plugs are running better in the short term then did the Champions... We shall see. LOL.

I've got an E3 in my 17 HP Briggs OHV, and I don't see much difference than what I have in my 15 HP Briggs Flathead.

Personally, sometimes low tech likes old school parts. My Jeep with the 4.0 runs best with copper champions. It hates the high dollar plugs.

I think the Champion is RJ19LM...

With the Champion plugs(even when newly installed), I used too bog down when going through heavier snow and the idle would surge sometimes when sitting. The idle is smooth and consistent with the E3.10. We shall see if it lasts. LOL...

No doubt my 8.5HP Snow King does show improvement in idle smoothness. Also does not bog down or surge under stress. For $6 bucks it was worth the shot and it does run better. Just in case, I do have new spare Champions. LOL.

Maybe these E3.10 just fire better.. Who knows. I just care about smoother idling and running performance...

Will I change out my plugs on my John Deere? No, because the NGK's work great in the 20HP Kawasaki engine.

I am not in the market for plugs, as I run the original through the live of the piece of equipment--unless my assistant happen to drop and break it.Point is,it's nice to see an open mind like the above

If you have a tractor supply near you you can get a Briggs & Stratton (Champion) Platinum plug.
These fine wire plugs start way easier and run smoother. They can be found online also at a few places for a couple of bucks cheaper.

Sounds like another option. Thanks...

I'm usually an NGK fan, especially the fine wire platinum electrode versions - the BP6EV fits my BMW bike and my Honda mower, among other things, but that fine wire Champion for the old Briggs L Head works well for me in a generator. Turns out the dfarb was gummed, the engine was running lean, and would not run worth a bleep on a stock plug. The Champion made it run well enough that it threw off my troubleshooting for a bit.

Dont know what to say but my snowblower runs great on the E3.10 plug. It did not run this well when it was new... It starts on one pull and never did before and for $6, what the heck.

I don't know what kind of plug your snow blower came with new, If its like mine it's a cheap chinese "flame" plug (MTD). Putting in ANY decent plug will be a ten fold improvement. I use an E3 in a brigs L head mower and it works fine, the question is whether it's just a decent plug with a fancy electrode, or truly an advancement in plug design.

The 8.5HP Snow King Tecumseh came new with a Champion spark plug. Trust me when I say that it runs better with this E3.10 plug then it did with the Champion, dont know why but it just does... Maybe it provides a better spark/burn. Who knows. I just care because it idles and runs better.

I know engines and have a large collection of classic cars, so I do have a lot experience when it comes to engines, etc... You have to when you have classic/muscle cars in your garage. I wish I could afford a full time mechanic. LOL...

Ahh, well you have a real engine with a real sparkplug! Most chinese made mtd/craftsman/yardman/etc. engines come with a piece of metal that resembles a sparkplug. I have heard that champion plugs can be hit or miss though, regardless, glad the E10 is working well for you!

You are right, I looked at some new snowblowers a few days ago and they had Chinese engines...
