I emailed Purolator a few weeks ago to get some information on a few Premium Plus filters I was interested in. I also asked about the cardboard end cap material. For one filter, the L20123, they stated that "some" of these filters used cardboard endcaps depending on the line of production. The other two filters I inquired about use metal end caps only.

I e-mailed purolator to ask them if they still use cardboard endcaps on any premium plus filters. I indicated that I would post the results on this website so consumers will have the truth right from the mouth of the manufacturer. I mentioned that Fram still uses cardboard, and that practically every car enthusiest on the internet now knows of their quality, or lack thereof. We'll see what they say!
